What would you like to see built in the Commercial Properties within South Gulf Cove? 
The HOA is surveying all residents in South Gulf Cove on what they would like to see done with commercial properties. There is no guarantee that each suggestion will be accepted by the owners or purchasers of the property, however we are attempting to be proactive with suggestions.
With that in mind we are holding an open house for all the property owners who would like to give their suggestions.
We are asking you to come up with your top three, drop by and off you go, there is no meeting to attend etc. 
 
The dates are:
Tuesday Oct 17th 1 - 4 PM
Wednesday Oct 18th - Before 7 PM or after HOA meeting - 9 PM
Saturday Oct 21st 3 - 7 PM
 
Listed below are some of the permitted uses of commercial property:
 
a. Restaurants
b. Professional Services c. Business Services
d. Retail sales and services, provided that all the merchandise shall be stored and displayed within enclosed buildings.
e. Parking lots and parking garages in support of permitted. Uses in the CG zoning district
f.  Automotive specialty services, including sales and repair of starters, generators, alternators and electrical parts, carburetors, speedometers and instruments, provided the services are performed on parts off the vehicle and no installation or removal of parts from the vehicle is performed on the premises.
(1) Automotive parts, provided no
installation is performed on the premises and all parts are stored within a completely closed building.
g. Resort marinas h. Sport marinas
i.  Garden shops, including sale of plants, fertilizers and customary garden supplies, equipment and furniture. Storage and sales areas for plants and live vegetation may be outside the building.
j.  Private clubs
k. Post Offices
l.  Indoor commercial recreational facilities such as motion picture theaters, swimming pools, bowling alleys and similar uses.
m. Vocational, trade, business schools, colleges, and universities, provided all activities are conducted in completely enclosed buildings.
n.  Banks
o.  Animal hospitals with boarding animals in completely enclosed buildings.
p. Adult congregate living facilities. q. Package stores for sale of liquor r.  House of worship
s. Dry cleaning
t.  Billiard parlors and game arcades u. Essential and emergency services v. Car wash with site plan approvable
by the development review committee. w. Child and adult care facilities
x.  Photocopying shops
 
Refer to Charlotte County Guidelines for Commercial General (CG) Zone and Commercial Intensive (CI) Zone for more details on these permitted and special exception uses.
 
SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS: The following re special exceptions in this district:
a.  Mass transit stations
b.  Miniature golf courses
c.  Elementary, Middle and High Schools
